This serum adds lactic acid to the usual Moisture Surge hydration base, so it does double duty: gentle exfoliation for glow alongside sodium hyaluronate for plumping hydration. Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate contributes some brightening, and there's a very slight shimmer from mica and iron oxides that gives skin a lit-from-within look rather than obvious sparkle. Lightweight enough to wear alone or under a moisturizer.
